What You’ll Be Doing
The Member Guide will you will be the first person our members see, they will provide exceptional customer service and ensure a high quality experience for the duration of their visit along with assisting the Provider(s) in the care of patients to assume optimal delivery of patient care.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Greet and welcome all members in a warm and friendly manner
- Register members for appointments, as well as complete check in & check out process
- Enter all patient data into electronic medical record system
- Verify Insurance
- Keep front desk area and waiting room tidy
- Ensure registration que (Solv) is updated throughout the day
- End of day – Daily registration reporting
- Complete all patient phone call assignments as assigned
- Re-schedule patient appointments as required via telephone calls & written notification to patients
- Connect members with appropriate specialists as well as radiology service, as requested by a provider
- Maintain phone system as well as incoming and outgoing faxes
- Perform all relevant medical tasks including collecting vital signs, phlebotomy, performing EKGs and other minor diagnostics/treatments, administering injections and routine immunizations, assisting Provider with minor procedures, quality control testing, and maintaining CLIA waiver log, etc.
- Prepare patient charts including DIs, referrals, preventative screeners, labs, and DMEs.
- Gather personal and clinical information from patient, readies paperwork and communicates information to care team as appropriate
- Participate in developing and updating of HPI, Social History, vitals, assessment and plans for patients
- Performs any and all other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid registration/certification as a Certified Medical Assistant required
- At least 1-2 years recent experience in urgent or primary care setting
- Exceptional phone manner
- Great time management & organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Must have experience in phlebotomy/venipuncture
- Ability to communicate effective with Providers and others to resolve issues
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record (EMR) preferred
- Ability to utilize the EMR system effectively
- Be a self-starter with attention to detail
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus!
