Details:

• The Medical Assistant (MA) provides routine care for patients who present to New Horizon Family Health Services. The Medical Assistant aids the Nursing Personnel and Providers as necessary.

All NHFHS Company employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Education:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.

Licensure/Certification:

• Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant as required by South Carolina Laws.
• Must be BLS CPR certified.

Knowledge and Skills:

• One year or more experience in medical office based patient care setting
• Must have a working knowledge of computer programs and electronic health records
• Must demonstrate legible handwriting and excellent spelling.
• The ability to accept responsibility and to be a motivated and enthusiastic learner
• Demonstrates courteous and tactful manner
• The ability to work under stress and work well with others
