Located in New Bern, NC just off of Highway 70, Magnolia Wellness Clinic is New Bern’s premier weight loss clinic and health and wellness med spa. We provide our patients with a variety of products and services to assist with weight loss, weight management, beauty and wellness treatments. Magnolia Wellness is seeking full time Certified Medical Assistant to join our amazing team! The ideal candidate will be a Certified Medical Assistant who has at least one year of experience working in a medical office. We are willing to train the right Certified Medical Assistant, who has received certification but does not yet have work experience. This is a great opportunity for a medical professional looking to gain experience and exposure to the health and wellness industry at a rapidly growing medical practice working alongside a team who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient records
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Ability to access and accurately record electronic health records via ipad
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to establish trust a rapport with patients
- Highly sef-motivated team playerv with a willingness to assist with back-office duties such as answering phones, sanitizing patient rooms, filing and data entry
- Ability to work independently; takes initiative without being asked
- High level of professionalism with an excellent attendance record
- High level of computer literacy, including experience using MS Word and Excel
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient referrals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in providing patient care with empathy and compassion
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Ability to administer basic life support in emergency situations
- Competence in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of coding systems for medical billing and documentation is a plus
