Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in a medical office setting. The Medical Assistant will work directly with patients to obtain medical histories, perform routine check-ups, administer injections, and assist with other medical procedures. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will be responsible for maintaining medical records and communicating with healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have Medical Assisting certification (CMA license)
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated experience and consistency in previous roles; no blood drawing duties post 1/1/24.
• Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to interpret laboratory results.
• Experience in assisting with biopsies.
• Skilled in taking patient vitals and rooming patients.
• Endocrinology experience is highly advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Experience working in a Medical Office
• Excellent Patient Care skills
• Experience maintaining Medical Records
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
