Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff.
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures.
- Intake/discharge patients- gathering of information for intake and discharge.
- Wound care dressing experience
- Cast experience.
- Transferring patients from wheelchair to exam chair and vice versa
- Collecting, recording and reporting data that includes vitals, Temperature, Blood Pressure (BP) and blood sugar readings.
- Take wound photography and measurement.
- Reporting unusual observations or changes in patient condition/behavior
- Preparing patients for examination
- Assisting the Physician during the exam if necessary
- Collecting specimens as requested
- Basic laboratory tests
- Changing dressings
- Completes unit tasks such as cleaning exams areas, as well as processing sterile instrument, and performing other unit task as required.
- Relates customer concerns and needs to medical personnel and tracks them in appropriate databases to ensure satisfactory outcome.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Three (3) or more years’ experience as CMA - Wound care experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with others and in a team environment.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to stay calm in all situations.
