Job Summary and Qualifications
Our Echocardiography Technologists, through subjective and/or recording of data, proceed with the established methodology of diagnostic examinations, creating a foundation from which a correct anatomic and physiological diagnosis can be developed for the individual patient when compared with the physician’s clinical diagnosis. - He/she demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department
- He/she demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures
What qualifications you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training consists of either: Satisfactory completion of formal Sonography training in an approved school of ultrasound
- Training and/or experience in the field of ultrasound imaging as judged adequate by Cardiology Medical Staff and Department Director Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS
- Demonstrates the ability of a conscientious and responsible individual that is pertinent to the sophistication of the job
