Job Description
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CADC Case Manager is responsible for the provision of a full range of effective, quality substance abuse treatment services and for providing case management services for participants that access the PEER Shelter.
This position has a schedule of Monday-Friday with variable hours and on-call responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in a social service and/or pertinent field preferred; professional experience accepted in lieu of education. Must be certifiable as CADC I or be willing to works towards completion of this certification. CADC II or III preferred
- Experience: Casework experience and one year working with runaway, homeless, or at-risk youth preferred. Lived experience will be prioritized.
- Availability: Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, possible variable shifts; on-call responsibilities up to 3 days per week (rotating schedule)
- Driver's License and Vehicle availability: Must have a driver's license that is valid in Oregon, have an acceptable record, and be insurable under the Agency's auto insurance policy.
We are seeking applicants with the ability to be flexible and engage in respectful communication and collaborative problem solving on matters of significance with clients, families, colleagues, supervisors, and community partners. Applicants who can demonstrate cultural sensitivity and ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds will do well in this role. We are looking for those who are familiar with emotional and behavioral disorders and knowledge of fundamentals of behavior management.

- Exhibit good communication skills, have the ability to hold strong boundaries and have a clear understanding of structure and accountability.
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain concise and complete service documentation in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
- Professional appearance appropriate to the position.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Assists youth at their own pace with working towards independence and stabilization.
- Refers client's to other agencies as needed; Coordinates plan with community resources
- Reviews progress with Program Manager and PEER Shelter team weekly
- Completes required documentation of client activities and progress as needed
- Develops case management plan with individual youth
