Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant / Secretary will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in an office setting. This position requires knowledge of medical administrative tasks, and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, scanning, obtaining referrals and other tasks as deemed necessary by manager.
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting specimens.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Basic life support certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
