We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties:
- Perform basic patient care duties, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, performing EKG's, as well as manual blood pressures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Proficient in medication reconcilliation
- Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, procedures, and general healthcare
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, and coordinating booking procedures such as cardiac catherizations, cardioversions, pacemaker implantation, TEE's.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in performing basic life support techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
