Cert Phlebotomist Level II-(Casual/PRN)- Adena Lab Jackson

The phlebotomist is the primary public contact for the laboratory.  The position collects and distributes laboratory blood and culture specimens and performs associated clerical and registration duties.  This position has access to confidential patient information and direct patient care.  This position does not have access to funds.

• Ability to operate standard business equipment such as phone, fax, printers, copy machine and computers.
• Demonstrates organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize work.
• Pays attention to detail.
• Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, efficiency and professionalism.
• Ability to establish friendly and cooperative relations with those contracted, often while addressing patient and/or family concerns regarding procedures and testing.

Minimum/Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist or three months on the job training to learn basic phlebotomy skills
