We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cerner Millennium Scheduling Analyst/Consultant to join our healthcare organization. As a member of the Information Technology (IT) team, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of the Cerner Millennium Scheduling module. You will collaborate with scheduling coordinators, department managers, and IT professionals to optimize scheduling workflows and enhance patient access and appointment management using the Cerner Millennium system.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and customize the Cerner Millennium Scheduling module to meet the specific needs of our healthcare organization, including appointment types, scheduling rules, templates, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with scheduling coordinators, department managers, and IT teams to assess and streamline scheduling workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and patient satisfaction.
• Provide expert guidance and support to end-users, including front desk staff, clinic coordinators, and providers, in the effective use of the Cerner Millennium Scheduling module.
• Participate in system testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities to ensure the integrity and functionality of the Cerner Millennium Scheduling module.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Cerner Millennium Scheduling with other clinical and administrative systems, ensuring seamless information flow and interoperability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to scheduling and patient access management systems, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
• Conduct training sessions and develop educational materials to promote user adoption and proficiency in using the Cerner Millennium Scheduling module.
• Collaborate with clinical and IT stakeholders to assess system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement enhancements.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for system-related issues and emergencies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of X years of experience working with Cerner Millennium Scheduling, including system configuration, support, and optimization.
• Cerner Millennium Certification in Scheduling or relevant modules is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of scheduling workflows in a healthcare setting, including appointment scheduling, resource allocation, waitlist management, and patient access.
• Proficiency in configuring and customizing Cerner Millennium Scheduling to meet the unique needs of healthcare organizations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with scheduling coordinators, department managers, and IT professionals.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex scheduling workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to scheduling and patient access (e.g., HIPAA, Meaningful Use criteria).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
