Position Summary:
As the CEO/COO, you will be at the forefront of driving our company's vision, overseeing all operational, strategic, and business aspects. Your leadership will be crucial in steering the company towards sustainable growth while maintaining its reputation for Logistics and Transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Operational Efficiency: Ensuring that trucks are dispatched efficiently, routes are optimized, and deliveries are made on time. This involves managing a fleet of vehicles, drivers, and logistics.
2.Sales Development: Manager Business Development/New Account Acquisition(Sales)
3.Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to trucking, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols. This may involve working closely with regulatory agencies.
4.Financial Management: Overseeing the budgeting, financial planning, and cost management for the operations department. This includes monitoring expenses, optimizing routes to reduce costs, and ensuring profitability.
5.Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of operations managers, dispatchers, drivers, and other staff members. This involves hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating staff to ensure optimal performance.
6.Customer Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with customers, shippers, and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. This may involve negotiating contracts, resolving disputes, and addressing customer concerns.
7.Strategic Planning: Working closely with the other executives to develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the company. This includes identifying opportunities for growth, expansion, and improvement.
8.Technology Integration: Leveraging technology, such as GPS tracking, fleet management software, and logistics optimization tools, to improve operational efficiency, safety, and customer service.
9.Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and challenges in the operations and implementing strategies to mitigate them. This includes addressing issues related to equipment breakdowns, driver shortages, regulatory changes, and market fluctuations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CEO/COO or in a similar executive management role, and requirement for leadership experience in the Trucking/Logistics Industry
- Preferred Experience with Amazon Relay, DAT, Syllectus, Uber Freight, and shipper loads
- Strong understanding of business operations, financial strategies, and market dynamics.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Adept at decision-making, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
