We are currently in search of a dynamic and motivated CEO for our Maryland Marketat Carelon BH, formerly Beacon Health Options. As the incoming Administrative Services Organization (ASO) for Maryland Medicaid, our goal is to positively impact participant outcomes and manage behavioral health services across the State of Maryland. This position calls for a strong leader with expertise in managing Behavioral Health programs and significant familiarity with Mental Health (MH), Substance Use (SUD), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), and related areas.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills with a flair for managing relationships with various stakeholders effectively. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills to develop and sustain key relationships within our provider community, stakeholders, clients, and advocate groups. Key to this role is focusing on the program's success and growth within a culture of transparency and accountability, managing areas including Mental Health (MH), Substance Use (SUD), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Gambling, Laboratory Management, Residential Treatment, and state-funded specialty programs such as Pregnant Women with Children and Justice Services.

How you will make an impact:

  • Provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure business meets performance and profitability standards.

  • Collaborates with matrix leaders to develop strategies and manage contract performance standards and SLAs to achieve client satisfaction and financial goals.

  • Provides input to the Product Development team on opportunities to create profitable and efficacious products that meet strategic needs of clients.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, develops, motivates, and evaluates performance of direct reports and works with the leadership team to develop and nurture a high-performance culture across the local enterprise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 8 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred skills, capabilities, and experiences:

  • Excellent managerial and leadership skills are strongly preferred.

  • Leadership experience in Behavioral Healthcare is preferred.
