Centralized Scheduler

Job Summary:

Responsible for scheduling appointments for the Specialty Clinic physicians (unless their office chooses to), schedule radiology tests, and procedures done in Harrison Memorial Hospital’s outpatient surgery area. The scheduler is responsible for obtaining precertification for the tests that require prior notification. Eligibility and co-pay information is required on outpatient procedures, radiology tests, and respiratory therapy tests. All patients are pre-registered by the schedulers as information is obtained by phone.

Required Educations, Skills, and/or Abilities:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Onsite position
• Exhibits good communication skills.
• Computer knowledge and keyboarding experience.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to maintain a friendly, cooperative atmosphere for patients, physician office staff, and fellow employees.
