Job Summary and QualificationsCentral Sterile Techs support patient care in the perioperative setting byassistingsurgeons and nursing staff before, during and after surgical procedures.As an integral member of the team, Central Sterile Techs make meaningful differences in patient’s lives.If you enjoy working in a fast-paced setting with a focus on clinical excellence, unlock the possibilities in your career by joining us.
What You Will DoInThis Role:
- Documents pertinent data in a concise manner
- Prepares instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing and storing procedures
- Understands principles of sterilization techniques and operates sterilization equipment
- Assists in departmental cost containment effort
- Performs equipment distribution and routine cleaning and maintenance
- Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Vocational School Graduate preferred
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST), or Certified Operating Room Technician, or Technician in Surgery (NCCT) preferred
- prior experience preferred
