Central Sterile Processing Technician

Specialty Surgery Center of St. Louis is searching for Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician.

NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS or ON CALL

DUTIES:

- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and solutions
- Assemble and package surgical instrument sets and trays according to established protocols
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain accurate records of instrument processing activities
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for surgical procedures
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment
- Follow departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of one-year current experience

- Must be currently CPR certified

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment and machinery effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
