Center Store Cooperator - Customer Service

To this end, our buyers do their best to create a product selection that encompasses the daily needs of our customers by providing options with the consideration of a variety of dietary needs as well as budgets.

We are looking for:

Erie Food Co-op is seeking applicants for a part-time (under 30 hours a week) Center Store Cooperator. The successful candidate will be available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays as needed. The person hired for this position will assist the Center Store (Front End, Grocery, Produce, Bulk, Wellness, Dairy and Frozen) in accomplishing various tasks.

Applicants should:

1. Possess excellent Customer Service skills.
2. Be able to interact in a professional manner with visitors, customers, member-owners, staff, and the public.
3. Be able to work well with others in cooperative environment.
4. Pay attention to detail; possess good organizational skills and follow through on commitments.
5. Possess strong communication and listening skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
6. Work well with minimum supervision.
7. Possess money-handling, POS and cash register use skills.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in retail/grocery store, natural and local food knowledge, and experience with Customer Service and POS systems.
