Center Pivot Irrigation Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Center Pivot Irrigation Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing irrigation systems for agricultural properties This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of irrigation systems, the ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems for agricultural properties

- Inspect and troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs

- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as adjusting sprinkler nozzles, troubleshooting, and replacing damaged components

- Ensure proper water distribution by adjusting water pressure and flow rates

- Dig trenches and install pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads according to design plans

- Test irrigation systems for leaks, malfunctions, or inefficiencies

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours worked

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, including different types of sprinklers, valves, controllers, and pipes

- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in irrigation work

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair irrigation system components

- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches and lifting heavy equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
