Our outpatient infusion centers are managed by Family Nurse Practitioners. They provide a comprehensive list of infusions that include, but are not limited to, biologics, antibiotics, hydration therapy, iron, and enzyme replacements. The FNP will have the opportunity to create and oversee patient care plans in collaboration with the prescriber and the patient's physician in order to provide the best treatment possible.

The Center Director is responsible for overseeing, supervising and overall staffing of the facility, quality and safety of patient care, flow, and process of the infusion suite in addition to providing services to patients under the Nurses Scope of Practice. The Center Director delegates duties and patient care to applicable staff within their facility as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between the Infusion Center and other prescribers, while also working directly with patients.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Center and help develop processes to improve workflow and patient experience.
  • Must abide by all company policies and procedures as well as INS standards of practice, OSHA guidelines, and state board laws.
  • Complete all new patient assessments
  • Chart E&Ms in NextGen
  • Responsible for initial Patient education
  • Monitor an over-see every patient present in the clinic
  • General daily resources for patients and staff with clinical questions
  • Safely clear all patients order in NG and document appropriately
  • Review labs/charts and test when received
  • Make sure all orders contain 5 rights
  • Answer calls and all medical level questions that RNs cannot answer
  • Follow-up on documentation for clinical clearance
  • Peer to peer when needed/asked
  • Train all new NPs
  • Other duties as needed/assigned

About You:

IF NP

  • Excellent IV skills (infusion therapy experience a plus)
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong computer/typing skills as necessary for daily tasks.
  • The ideal candidate is also a natural leader who can serve as clinical lead.
  • 2+ years NP Or RN experience preferred; open to more experienced candidates as well.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program and have a current RN license for the state in which you are applying to work in (in good standing with all governing bodies).
  • Licensed Advanced Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or RN in the state in which you are applying to work in.
  • Board Certified FNP or RN
  • BCLS/CPR certification.
  • Must remain current on all required continuing education units.

IF RN

  • Treat all scheduled patients
  • Mix medications
  • Monitor patients on the floor (i.e. vitals, rounding)
  • Chart on all patients treated in NG
  • Complete discharge letters in NG and eFax
  • Make sure to confirm that we have medication available for stat meds
  • File any necessary documents in NextGen
  • Order Med provided
  • Order clinical supplies
  • Ensure meds for specialty drugs or for over the weekend
  • Help answer phones
  • Monitor emails to address nurse related items flagged by Admins
  • Monitor faxes when admins are not present
  • File orders when admins are not present
  • Work the task (ready to schedule primarily. Can assist admins with; missing info, notify pt, additional clinicals needed)
  • Sanitize chairs, tables, and poles after patients leave
  • Clean and stock coffee bar, snacks and sodas
  • Check in medications when they arrive
  • Train new nurses
  • Chart-prep all charts for the following day. Try to stay a week ahead
  • Other responsibilities as needed/assigned

Both Roles will include duties:

  • Support clinical team and help whoever needs it.
  • Complete all duties labeled under the Admin and Nurses
  • Fill in the Admin or RN roles if short handed
  • Ensure proper staffing and schedule (make adjustments on a daily basis as necessary)
  • Monitor PTO and sick leave
  • Schedule and hold meetings for clinic, physicians, or med reps
  • Communicate any and all changes or new information to the team
  • Do all new hire vetting, interviewing, and paperwork therefor
  • Assist HR when need for employee folders/credentials/and check-offs
  • Ensure all clinic operations
  • Ensure supplies
  • Monitor shortages and adjust accordingly
  • Complete reports or answer question for Corporate as needed
  • Monitor monthly financials to make adjustments accordingly
  • Meet with marketing team to review goals
  • Meet with all other managers via teleconference Every Thursday at 3 pm
  • Approve all time cards and make corrections daily and before payroll
  • Handle all or any customer and employee grievances/complaints
  • Maintain relationships within the center, referral sources and all other departments
  • Manages The cancellation report, the exception report, expiring order/auth, and the 0826 report
  • Manages the 0827 to check chair times every Friday for labor efficiency. Make sure the times reflect the med admin correctly

Salary Range:

We take pride in ensuring we compensate our employees fairly and equitably. We provide a range and actual starting pay may be based on several factors including but not limited to, market rate, qualifications, internal compensation, candidate location, and budgetary constraints.

$35-$63/hour, DOE, Education and Title held (RN or FNP)
