Position Summary
This position is within the Plant Services Group for supporting Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) performing calibration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of gas analyzers, analytical instrumentation, and other instrumentation for supporting environmental compliance. Additionally, can support instrumentation tasks. This position involves working in and around operating process units within the power block. Performs maintenance in all areas of the plant on a scheduled or emergency including call outs. Strong safety culture is a must and adherence to safety policies, plans and requirements is a must. This is a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday with potential call outs and extended shifts. This is a Safety Sensitive Position. In Addition to supporting the CEMS, the position will also perform O&M service work as needed at ProEnergy/Wattbridge facilities under the direction of the O&M Manager or Plant Manager.

Position Responsibilities
  • Calibrates, repairs, maintains, and installs CEMS and instrumentation systems following all safety procedures, electrical codes, manuals, schematic drawings, diagrams, and other documents.
  • Participates in safety programs, and shows a strong safety culture and adheres to site policies and procedures
  • Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, loop checking, troubleshooting, repair, and start-up on field devices
  • Works to O&M manuals, agency regulations, logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches, and other written instructions
  • Completes preventive, corrective maintenance and scheduled maintenance; and improves operation of CEMS, instruments, and control devices and systems
  • Trouble shoots and analyzes system problems and addresses deficiencies
  • Ability to assist in developing maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures and training materials for CEMS, instrumentation and control systems
  • Adherence to Company procedures, policies and industry standards
  • Follows, understands and participates in the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Installs and maintains various types of instrumentation components including Safety Critical Devices
  • Able to read, understand and interpret blueprints, loop drawings, PLC control programs, and electrical schematics diagrams
  • Prepare repair / conditioning reports
  • Plans and coordinates work following appropriate work orders, work permits, and safety instructions following LOTO
  • Operate motorized vehicles, including equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and trucks
  • Self-starter and ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
  • Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as SCBA, steel-toe shoes and ear and eye protection
  • Must be able to work extended shifts and respond to emergency call-outs as needed including weekend, evenings and holidays
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
  • Other duties as assigned by O&M Manager and or Plant Manager
Desired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • ISA Level I Certification preferred, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in instrumentation and CEMS
  • Knowledge of CEMS, low voltage control systems, instrumentation, DCS systems, operation and configuration, PLC operation/programming, electrical/instrument control device settings and calibrations required
  • Possess an advanced knowledge of instrumentation math, units, variables, and dimensions of measurement
  • Demonstrate knowledge of flow, pressure, temperature, level instrumentation, and control power systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various types of switches, meters, indicators, temperature sensors, positioners, controllers, control valves, and DCS loops.
  • Familiar with Honeywell or similar DCS controls, analytical monitors for CEM (Continuous Emission Monitoring)
  • Remove and repair; install and calibrate various transmitters
  • Electrical working knowledge from an apprenticeship or vocational school a plus.
  • Must hold a valid Driver License with excellent driving record
  • Must be able to complete Health Questionnaire and pass drug test and background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Proficient computer skills.
