About the role
Key responsibilities

Ability to operate a forklift when needed.

Works in blending room in teams of 2 or 3 and leads group.

Oversees room operations and ensuring adherence to SAP schedule and recipes.

Uses laptop to work in SAP for all room functions.

Dumps 50# bags routinely into blender following SAP recipe.

Fills new bags, labels, and pallet stacks for shipment.

Maintains supplies for room and room cleanliness.

Interpret production schedule in chronological order to determine next process order to run and maintain leads on lines to prevent downtime.

Ability to use a scan gun and computer tablet.

Enter computer data accurately into SAP.

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a hazard free work area.

Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.

Maintain GMPS, PPE, and 5S standards.

Reports all Accidents and Near-misses immediately.

Other duties and projects as assigned.

Position reports directly to the supervisor on-shift and follows direction of the team leader

Qualifications and skills

Minimum Requirements:

Organizational & excellent communication skills.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.

Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift.

Basic computer experience.

Classified as General Business

Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.

2 years previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Previous blending room experience preferred.

Previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment preferred.

Previous experience using SAP preferred.

Previous experience with scanners/RF guns preferred.

Working Conditions:

Food manufacturing plant

Warehouse environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.

Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.

Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously.

Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule.

Ability to walk up to 135 feet one way many times a day.

Ability to continuously stand/walk up to 12 hours.

Ability to climb stairs or ladder.
