Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for multiple construction projects or a single project of a large scale requiring multiple disciplines
which engineering observation of construction progress to ensure compliance with plans/specifications and
representing best interests of public agencies. - Oversees field staff and contractors on the site and responsible to ensure quality construction in accordance with plans and specifications.
- In addition, is responsible for approval of change orders, invoices, and payment applications which may include final payment and providing technical advice to the design and construction of the projects.
- The successful candidate will serve as a Project Manager taking a leadership role in project plan production, quality assurance/quality control, team development and supervision, client management, profitable project management, and developing collaborative partnerships.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a Civil Engineering company
- Registered EIT or Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
- Project management experience working directly with TxDOT or other local agencies with a focus on construction management of transportation projects, preferred
- Excellent organization skills with attention to detail along with overall quality control and management responsibilities
Technical Requirements:
- Efficient utilizing Microsoft Excel and Calculator
- Site Manger or other construction tracking software
- SharePoint or other document control electronic filing software
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
- Able to travel up to 25%
- Able to oversee work in other parts of Texas
- Highly responsive, provides options, advises on difficult decisions, always act as a good faith partner, and delivers on client expectations and our promises
