The Position Proposition:
This is a physically demanding job that requires strong attention to detail and exceptional driving skills. If you are dedicated, safety-conscious, and enjoy working outdoors, this position may be a great fit for you.
- CDL Class A Required.
- Tanker Endorsement Preferred.
- Hydro-excavation experience Preferred.
- High School diploma or GED is highly preferred.
- 2 years of line locating experience is preferred.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving history. A Class A CDL is highly preferred, with endorsements.
- Knowledge/experience in Subsurface Utility (SUE) is a Plus.
- Solid communication skills and reasoning ability. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees, supervisors/foremen, excavators, contractors and customers.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of basic locating concepts and a basic understanding of utility distribution.
Ability to read and interpret utility maps and utility records.
Possess a fundamental understanding of the One Call System rules and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret locate ticket request.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a continuous basis on a daily basis.
Standing, walking, turning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, speaking and hearing are required continuously.
Occasional hand-digging (shovel) hand excavation
- Ability to work in the outside weather conditions in elements, will be exposed to a variety of noise and ground surface
temperatures.
- Primoris Gas Operations is a drug free environment. All positions require participation in federally compliant PHMSA or
- FMSCA drug and alcohol testing programs. This includes both pre-employment and ongoing random testing.
