About US 1 Shorthaul's Shuttle DriverLocal Haul Position:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transporting loads from our warehouse to the local distribution center
- Drop the loads at the local distribution center
- Hook up a load at the local distribution center
- Drop the load from the local distribution center to our warehouse
- Maneuvering truck and trailer safely in busy industrial environments
- Regularly checking equipment for faults or damages
- Ensuring the equipment complies with all guidelines, including weight restrictions
- Produce activity logs
- Identifying workplace safety hazards
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail
- Good knowledge of industrial equipment
- Ability to operate a two-way radio
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Spatial awareness
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Class A CDL (required)
- Minimum of 18+ months experience within the last 5 years (with 12 months within the past 3 years) OTR experience
POSITION TYPE, PAY, AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- This is a full-time or part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position
- This is a day shift position
- Pay rate is $24.00 / hour
- Hours worked over 40 hours in 1-week qualify for overtime (paid time and a half)
