Form of workResponsible for driving gasoline or diesel-powered commercially-licensed trucks to transport and deliver construction equipment and materials to and from job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Drives truck to the destination and returns
- Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations (including I.C.C. Regulations)
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water
- Completes pre-trip and post-trip truck inspection reports
- Service and lubricate the engine and other moving parts if needed
- Maintains accurate records on truck lubrication, service, and repairs
- Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times
- Follow directions and instructions from supervisors
- Perform various tasks and duties that may often change as the work conditions require
- Work within defined standards of accuracy
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Skills or Abilities:
- Valid CDL License
- Clean MVR
Education and Experience:
- On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction.)
