Cdl Driver/Operator - Louisiana

Rescar is hiring at our expanded Service Center in Gonzales, Louisiana!

The CDL Driver/Equipment Operator will drive cleaning equipment trucks and transport mobile cleaners to customer sites where cleaning services are needed.  The CDL Driver will also participate in the cleaning process to ensure railcar conformance with FRA, AAR, Customer and Rescar requirements.

 What you'll do:  

• Operate equipment that removes product from railcars and stores the product in appropriately labeled drums, dumpsters, and other containers.
• Make sure the equipment is properly maintained and records retained. 
• Meet or exceed quality standards on all work that is performed.
• Follow and enforce safety rules, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) 
• Travel 90% of the time

What you'll need:

• CDL with clean driving record
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, preferred
• 0 – 2 years railcar cleaning experience or related field work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-2 years knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and industrial cleaning equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, required.
• Ability to work in various temperatures indoors and in outdoor weather.
• Ability to work at heights, exposure to noise, dust, gases, fumes, and chemicals required

Rescar Companies is a privately held company that offers maintenance services to companies that own and/or lease rail rolling stock.  Services include mechanical repair, exterior painting, interior coating and cleaning.  These services are provided from Rescar's nationwide network of 40+ service locations in the United States, either at fixed facilities or from our mobile field services centers.
