Role Summary:
Stallion is looking for a CDL Driver - Class A preferred or Class B with a Tanker Endorsement to join our team and safely transport portable sanitation products to and from customer sites. Automatic only restrictions are fine - we have no manual transmissions at this location. This driver will be home every night - routes are local only. The driver will drive a Route Service truck when they are not driving a CDL required truck.
Role Priorities/Responsibilities:
- Safely transport portable sanitation products to and from various locations
- Safely load, unload, and provide services for our customers
- Be able to follow DOT requirements
- Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements including, but not limited to: completing daily Job Safety Analysis, pre/post-trip inspection reports, near miss and hazard reports.
- Works in a variety of environmental conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors and dust.
- Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.
- This position is outdoors and/or driving GPS monitored vehicle
- Physically able to push, or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds between 25 - 50 times a day
Other Responsibilities:
- Keeps an accurate daily drivers log
- Conducts pre-trip and post-trip equipment assessments.
- Ability to read, operate and understand an electronic map/gps/dispatching system utilizing a phone or iPad.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing).
- Ensures proper maintenance of truck and equipment to maintain proper working and safety requirements.
Education or Certification required:
- Age 21 or above
- Must have at least one year of experience
- Must have a TWIC card and a medical DoT card
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's A or B license - Tanker endorsement preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record that meets fleet insurance requirements (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years)
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screen and drug and alcohol screen
