Essential duties
- Deliver building materials to company customers
- Properly strap and secure delivery and pick-up loads according to DOT regulations and company policy, or as directed by management
- Driver must perform pre and post trip inspections and report to a supervisor
- Maintain paper driving logs
- Complete periodic telephone communications to company dispatcher
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Posses a valid CDL A
- Possess a driving record , MVR, that meets company standards
- At least 2 years of verifiable experience operating a commercial motor vehicle
- Must be able to pass and maintain a DOT physical
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol screenings
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations as it pertains to operating a commercial motor vehicle
- Former Moffett, roller bed, or construction delivery experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional experience a must
