We are currently seeking dedicated and versatile Class A CDL drivers to become a part of our flex team. This role is perfect for drivers who enjoy variety in their work, including solo and team routes, and are adept at city driving, particularly in Chicago. As a flex driver, you'll play a crucial role in delivering aftermarket parts to Honda dealerships, ensuring smooth operations even when regular drivers are unavailable.

About the Role:

• Job Type: Dedicated - Company driver
• Equipment: 2014-2021 Peterbilt with automatic transmission, equipped with Pre-Pass, EZ Pass, and 28’/48’ Dry Van with lift gates. Some routes require a 28’ van and doubles endorsement.
• Location: Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Davenport, IA.
• Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, with start times between 5 PM and 1 AM. Shifts typically last 8-12 hours, ending the next day. Guaranteed home time on weekends.
• Freight: This position involves touch freight, including automotive parts like cages, totes, and loose pieces.

Responsibilities Include:

• Filling in for drivers who are on leave, ensuring uninterrupted service.
• Delivering and unloading aftermarket parts at Honda dealerships, including night route responsibilities such as unlocking and locking dealership gates/doors.
• Comfortably maneuvering a tractor-trailer in tight spaces, especially in car lots and city environments.
• Scanning in new loads and handling returns.

• Competitive Pay: Starting at $0.52/mile for solo and $0.31/mile for team routes, with a weekly minimum guarantee ($1,350 for solo and $1,550 for team).

Requirements:

• 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• Comfort with city driving and maneuvering in tight spaces, particularly in Chicago.
• Physical ability to handle delivery roller cages and lift boxed parts ranging from 40 to 75 lbs.

Running Lanes Include:

IA, IL, IN, KS, MN, MO, WI, with an average of 8 stops and mileage ranging from 1500 for solo to 3000 for team routes.
