The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering product to and from assigned locations.
Delivery
- Deliver product daily in a safe manner as listed on delivery run sheets
- Assist at partner agency sites by unloading and bringing product to the door of the facilities; verify counts, record shortages/overages, record product damages on invoice
- Assist with loading and unloading warehouse inventory, as needed
- Complete donor pick-ups
- Complete daily truck, maintenance, and other logs/reports as directed in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure all proper documentation is completed accurately
- Record product and put into appropriate storage area at end of day or return to the Food Bank
- Maintain proper use and upkeep of Food Bank vehicles and report issues or problems to Transportation Manager
Location: Office 100%
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Education
- High school diploma
- Valid CDL-A, or CLD-B License and clean driving record
- Knowledge of transportation corridors of Central and Northern New York State
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Excellent math and customer service skills
- Food Safety Certification (ServSafe) upon hire, and annually
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds continuously
- Ability to pass DOT physical
