Ride Source has immediateopenings for part-time CDL drivers in the Roanoke Valley!

Already working, but looking to earn some extra $$$ with a flexible shuttle driving position? Looking for part-time hours? Retired and looking for limited hours? No problem! Enter your availability on our calendar, and when can schedule you based on your schedule.

Potential shifts include:

Fridays: 6:30am – 1:00pm, 12:45pm – 7:15pm, 3:45pm – 10:30pm, 4:30pm – 10:30pm

Saturdays: 6:30am – 1:00pm, 12:45pm – 7:15pm, 12:00pm – 11:00pm, 4:30pm – 10:30pm

Sundays: 6:30am – 1:00pm, 12:45pm – 7:15pm

Ride Source has been providing transportation services in the Roanoke and New River Valley since 2018. We specialize in fixed route shuttle service, corporate, wedding and event transportation. We pride ourselves on the service we provide from initial inquiry to final passenger drop off.

Ride Source is currently looking for CDL drivers with passenger and air brake endorsements who will be tasked with safely delivering guests to their events.

Shifts available are mainly for Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s. Occasionally, shifts may be available during the rest of the week.

How You Will Make a Difference:

· Safely negotiate various routes through varied terrain and geographic areas in a commercial bus

· Regularly inspect all assigned equipment and report repair and/or maintenance requests to Operations

· Maintain vehicle in a clean and fueled state of readiness

· Maintain all motor vehicle logs, documentation, and driving standards as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal/State authorities, and the company

· Check the condition of a vehicle, tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water and safety equipment to ensure everything is in working order

· Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner

· Review route assignments and schedules with Operations, and ensure all information is fully understood before departing

· Interact with clients, customers, sub-contracted drivers, and fellow company drivers onsite in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner

· Effectively communicate with Operations before and after each shift

· Provide operational feedback to Operations to help improve service response

· Perform duties and functions to help streamline daily business operations

· Inspect vehicle for items left behind and coordinate immediate return to customer when possible, or submit to Operations

Required Experience:

· Must be at least 25 years of age to satisfy insurance requirements

· Must have at least three years of verifiable professional driving experience

· Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement

· Clean DMV Driver History Record less than 30 days old

· Current DMV Medical Certificate Card

· Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a background check

· Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle as per CFR 391.15

· Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations

· Safety and customer-service oriented

· Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

· Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous manner in keeping with the Company's standards of conduct, and abide by all safety requirements

· Must be punctual, dedicated, work safely, and have a positive attitude

· A TEAM player

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to sit for long periods of time

· 20/20 vision or corrected lenses required

· Infrequent lifting and twisting required

· Must be able to bend to secure wheel chairs in the vehicle

· Must be able to work in all changes in weather conditions

· Move up and down stairs easily

· Lift, push, pull and carry tools, objects, or equipment above shoulder level without assistance

· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
