Our Local NC Drivers earn an average of .60 CentsPerMile (depends on the experience) in a radius of 450 miles, extra stop bonus of $50 and have increasing rates based on performance, as well as a bonus package.
Average earnings $1,300 - $1,600 per week + Bonuses
Requirements:
- Class A CDL License & valid medical card
- At least 21 years old
- Preferable living area radius: 90 miles
- MVR and PSP records should be reasonably clean
- Not prohibited in DOT Clearinghouse
- Negative drug test results
- No major convictions on the Criminal background check
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks and heavy equipment
- Load and unload materials or equipment onto trucks
- Follow specific routes and schedules for efficient delivery of goods
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to report any issues or delays in delivery
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Experience operating heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dry vans, flatbed or reefer.
Skills and qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and vehicles in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of route planning and navigation systems
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and reporting
