CDL Class A Driver with Tanker & Hazmat Endorsement - Oklahoma City

Overview

 

FER Inc, a Shamrock Environmental company, located in Oklahoma City, is looking to hire experienced Class A Drivers with Hazmat + Tanker Endorsement in Oklahoma City, to operate our commercial fleet, with frequent stops/pick-ups. Responsible for safely and efficiently delivering materials while ensuring complete route coverage, and prompt and courteous service.

Responsibilities

You will perform duties associated with industrial/environmental cleaning, hazardous waste pick up/disposal, and emergency response, willing to perform manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER. 

 

Job duties:

• Operate commercial motor vehicles such as Vacuum trucks, Tankers, Roll-Off, Front End loaders, bobtail tankers, and Tractor Trailers.
• Ensure the truck remains in proper and safe working order and that routine and required maintenance occur on a timely basis.
• Maintain daily e-logs, safety & inspection reports, expense reports, and project reports while ensuring they are properly documented.
• Must be willing to perform manual labor-related tasks to support projects.
• Ensure the company's health and safety culture, policies, and requirements are met.
• Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws regulating safe driving and the safe and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to be on call for emergency response (on a rotational schedule basis).
• Ability to perform work based on task conditions and hazards.
• Maintain appropriate driver's license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL Required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement Required.
• MUST BE ABLE TO drive a manual transmission.
• MUST pass pre-employment requirements: DOT physical including drug & alcohol screening, and background check.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs., at times up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness and ability to climb ladders, stairs, etc.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Availability and Willingness to work some weekends and after-regular hours Emergency Response Calls (rotation).
• Ability to travel overnight as required on occasion.
• Disciplined, dependable, and good stress management.
