CDL CLASS A DRIVER - EVENING/GRAVEYARD SHIFT

Airport Drayage Company Inc., (ADC) is a local airfreight pickup, transport, and delivery-company with a presence in the Pacific Northwest since 1959. Family owned and operated, ADC currently operating with approx. 60 employees, 50 Tractors/Straight trucks (NEWER AND WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLES!) with terminals in Portland, OR (Hq.); Salem, OR; and Tumwater, WA.

Job Purpose: Local and PNW drop pick, live load/unload, local to local, container dray and LTL transfers.

Shift: Starting time: 17:00 or later depending on shift. RETURN HOME DAILY

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thorough pre and post trip inspections
• Ensures correct loading of vehicle by loading product or material.
• Maintains safe vehicle operation and protects load by complying with organizational policies and procedures, highway rules and regulations.
• Maintains records by conscientious operation of Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and Electronic DVIR, obtaining shipper and receiver authorizations and managing and notating other related paperwork.
• Supports and contributes to the company's overall safety program.
• Continually strives and is committed to self-improvement as a transportation professional.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing individual results as assigned and assists other drivers load or unload, if waiting in the warehouse.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience
• 23 years of age or older
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 3 years.
• No DUI or reckless driving convictions in the preceding 5 years.
• No positive controlled substance tests.
• Dependable
