About the Role

Glial Group is a Veteran owned small business that prides itself with its safety first culture and focus on employee success. We are a FedEx Ground Contractor (ISP) looking for enthusiastic, team players for PM line haul operations in Andover, MA, Wilmington, MA and Hartford, CT.

We are looking for CDL A drivers, who are energetic, personable and safe. You will operate Freightliner Cascadia’s that are professionally maintained and equipped with modern safety and comfort features. This is “No Touch Freight” – all you are doing is hooking with trailers and safely delivering them!

You should be obsessed with safety, have a clean driving record and minimum one experience with doubles. The Line haul Driver must be able to lift / manage dolly independently and must be obsessed with safety. We have several PM shift positions open at this time and we are looking for both part time and full time applicants.

Line Haul Responsibilities

• Use ELD, FedEx systems, route navigation apps to deliver trailers to destination on time
• Interact with FedEx dispatch team and other stakeholders in a professional manner
• Complete pre and post trip inspections and notify manager of any issues
• Drive in inclement weather and varying traffic conditions
• Obey all DOT, FMCSA, State and Federal laws and regulations

Line Haul Driver Requirements

• Minimum of one year driving experience with doubles endorsement
• Clean driving record (FedEx conducts a thorough background check)
• Work well independently
• Open and transparent communication
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Doubles endorsement
• Valid work history for the past 10 years
• At least 21 years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years, or 6 months experience with a FedEx-approved driving school.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical, pre-employment background and drug screen
• No revoked or suspended license, DUI, DWI or reckless driving violations
• MVR: no more than 2 moving violations in the last 36 months
