Allstates Consulting Services is looking for a CCTV/Alarm Technician to work with our partner in the Knoxville, TN area. Below ae the reqwuirements and responsibilites for the position. If hired you will need to use your own vehicle for the first 3-4 weeks and then you will be provided with a company vehicle, Mileage will be paid when driving your onw vehicle as well as travel time.
Requirements:
    • Experience in field installation experience in the security environment: CCTV, Alarm, Fire, and Access Control.
    • Experience in break-fix troubleshooting of Fire Alarm systems.
    • NICET certification (Preferred).
    • Current/valid state required Physical Security license and/or Life Safety license in the applicable technology.
    • Experience in CCTV, voice, and data cabling is a plus.
    • Current valid State required license(s) for low voltage/burglar alarm/fire alarm/security/CCTV.
    • Available to travel. 3-4 hors out
    • Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
    • Knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.
    • Knowledgeable in closeouts and MDF s.
    • Knows how to troubleshoot switches, WiFi, routers.
    • DMP Experience a HUGE plus
    • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
    • Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights.
    • Has basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation.
    • Must have knowledge of cabling infrastructure.
    • Experience in conduit installation is a plus.
    • Knowledge of access control is a plus.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.
Responsibilities:
    • Install, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various CCTV and Fire Alarm systems.
    • Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels for fire alarm systems with the guidance of building plans and electrical layouts.
    • Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
    • Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that CCTV and fire alarm systems are in compliance with electrical and fire codes.
    • Assist and interface with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment.
    • Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.
    • Mount sensors at appropriate locations, performing all necessary tasks, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics.
    • Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
    • Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
    • Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements
