CCTV Monitoring Techinician

Omni-Serv is seeking a reliable and flexible qualified candidate for a part-time, CCTV Technician.

Job Scope:

A CCTV Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining surveillance equipment, watching both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior and contacting the management and/or authorities when necessary.

*** Please note that this position is part-time and works the following shift ***

Shift: 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor all surveillance security systems/cameras within the Control Center in an efficient manner and in compliance with the operating procedures and best practice of the company.
• Record all events, incidents and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate written format.
• Maintain a secure system for providing data in accordance with the regulations and to ensure the security of the control room and its equipment is always maintained.
• Report equipment failure to the relevant personnel.
• Providing efficient and courteous radio and telephone answering service and dealing efficiently with all inquiries.
• Responding to and/or sending emails.
• Liaise with the security agencies and members of staff to ensure the appropriate use of the CCTV.
• Investigate incident reports.
• Respond to alarm systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify small, apparently unnoticeable details that most people would ordinarily overlook.
• Ability to work independently and to multi-task.

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum high school diploma
• Private/commercial security experience/background is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• This position works indoors in a central control room monitoring three (3) screens for any 8-hour shift.

Compensation: $17.00 p/h
