CCAR and CECL Model Implementation Director

The Implementation Director will oversee Model Implementation and data control activities for models used in the execution of CCAR and CECL processes.  The director will be leading an organization that that is responsible for the end to end technical implementation of these models and processes, with a focus on controls, data accuracy and completeness, and efficient execution of the CCAR and CECL processes.   Leader will work across various model development groups and will be primarily responsible for leading discussions with business leaders, Model Risk Management, regulators and external auditors for the implementation activities. It is paramount that the leader of the organization creates a culture of effective risk management, accountability, and demonstration of risk awareness across the organization.

• Manage a team responsible for the implementation and execution of broad suite of CCAR and CECL models.  Model types include credit loss (PD,LGD, and EAD), payoff rate, new origination volume, operations loss forecasts, deposit balance, and NII/NIE line items.
• Perform attribution analyses for model executions, and test for model assumptions and limitations, and assist in the ongoing monitoring of integrated model results.
• Develop and execute controls to ensure the accurate execution of models.
• Lead groups efforts within broader data management activities to include identification of key inputs and critical data elements, and assist in determining and documenting lineage of data elements.
• Represent results of CCAR and CECL processes to management committees

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s or PHD in a quantitative degree
• 10 + years’ experience working with model risk management, external audit and regulators within a large bank environment with experience in multiple software environments, to include SAS, python, or R.
• Experience in the development or execution of models for use within CCAR or CECL processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clear communication skills to all levels of management (written and verbal)
• Perform supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing staff.

Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
