**Job Summary:**


The primary responsibility of this position is to manage a team of ~10 people and provide support for the Operations function in the Chicago location. The candidate will have a direct reporting line into the Executive Director and will be directly responsible for managing the operations team. The candidate will be responsible for understanding the key metrics and risk components within the team and manage the team to meet the financial goals and objective put forth by the Line of Business, while partnering globally with all the Stakeholders, Operations, Quality Assurance & Technology teams. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining staff and budget requirements.


**Job Responsibilities:**


+ Manage people working within the team / department and strive improve performance standards attained . Manage individual and team performance standards to achieve and exceed business expectations


+ Manage resources and capacity across multiple projects simultaneously and ensure optimum utilization of resources with NIL impact to business operations . Identifies, manages and mitigates process risks and issues and timely escalation as necessary.


+ Coordinates the tracking and resolution of defects using the defect management process. Provides Weekly Scorecard, Status Reporting and MIS.


+ Leads communication calls with Technology, Quality Assurance, Business and Operations teams. Provide regular status reporting to relevant business areas.


+ Build strong working relationships with technology, product and operations to succeed in delivery. Provide primary contact cover for the department. Investigate and follow reported items through until resolution.


+ 3 - 5+ years of commercial banking/lending experience, loan documentation or collateral perfection experience . Demonstrated, well-rounded leadership with 2+ years in leadership roles in Financial Services (or comparable industries), Credit, Service/Operations, and/or Commercial/Business Banking with proven ability to make appropriate decisions in a high-volume environment. Experience with Commercial Loan operations preferred, including strong Loan documentation knowledge.


+ Understanding of pledging collateral to Federal Reserve Banks (Reserve Banks) to secure discount window advances and extensions of daylight credit for master account activity is preferable.

+ Strong analytical ability and influencing skills.


+ Strong verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to present concise, direct and timely communications to executives, management and key. partners. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office,(excel, word, power point), etc.


+ Partnership and relationship management: must have ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with numerous teams and key stakeholders.


+ Proven ability to work well both as an individual and part of a team.


+ Leadership and drive: well-honed ability to develop, to obtain agreement on, and to lead execution of a global agenda.


+ Project management and execution: must organize quickly and execute the agenda to meet short-term and long-term deliverables.
