Description: Located at the heart of Shannon Medical Center, the Cath Lab plays a primary role in our award as an IBM Watson Health Top 50 Cardiovascular hospital in the nation -Tech needed for busy Cardiac Cath Lab . Preferredat least 2 years of Cath Lab experience. Will need to be a Radiology Tech or have RCIS certification. Must be proficient with interventional heart caths and device implants. Needs to have basic knowledge of EP and interventional nephrology.*Shannon has a 110-mileradiusrule; Travelers must have a home address outside of 110 miles for the facility/San Angelo. Floating is required. Education (I) On-The-Job Training (2140) Education Type Program of Study Required/Preferred High School Diploma or G.E.D. N/A Required Program Approved by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International ( CCI ) for RCIS Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or a Health Science Required, if not RCIS Certified prior to July 1, 2013 Certification Licensures (I) On-The-Job Training (2140) Certification/Licensure Type Required/Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required or (II) RT, R (2141) Certification/Licensure Type Required/Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License from the State of Texas Required The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in a Specialized Area Related to Cath Lab Required or (III) RSIC (2142) Certification/Licensure Type Required/Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification Required Additional Information:All travelers will be required to float if needed. They will only be asked to float within their skill set. ACLS is required on 4 North, Stroke and Trauma, ICU, and ER. So we only need BLS for the MedSurg/Ortho and 4 South posting. Our facility is licensed for 400+ beds and provides a variety of clinical services to meet each patient's needs. We are the Lead Level 3 Trauma Center for the region, have a nationally-recognized Intensive Care Unit, provide critical care to newborns as young as 28 weeks, perform state-of-the-art diagnostics in our radiology department, and provide complete testing and surgical capabilities for the cardiology patient among many more services. Shannon Medical Center has a 110 mile radius rule, no contractor will be employed if they live within this radius. ALL CONTRACT NURSES WILL NEED TO PASS A SHORT MEDICATION ADMINSTRATION TEST.
