Schedule: Days/evenings (4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts, with STEMI call)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Ithaca, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and possess excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation, recovery, and monitoring of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
2. Administer medications and ensure patients' fort and safety during procedures.
3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide prehensive patient care.
4. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and cardiac status during procedures.
5. Respond promptly to any changes in patients' conditions and take appropriate action.
6. Participate in the on-call schedule for STEMI cases as required.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
8. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
9. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines.
10. Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements:
1. Active RN license in the state of New York.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab RN.
3. BLS and ACLS certifications.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
5. Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
6. Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including on-call shifts.
