$67,257/yr minimum - $100,885/yr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)
Responsible for departmental activities including staff, patient care services, and administrative responsibilities as delegated.
Hours of Work: 7:00am-5:30pm.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Plans and implements programs in coordination with the manager to support positive patient outcomes for the Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab and the Hybrid OR.
- Collaborates with Cath Lab Manager to establish orientation and Tier competency standards for all team members
- Collaborates with Cath Lab Manager to develop and implement training and skills competency programs for all Cardiac Cath Lab, EP and Hybrid OR team members
- Facilitate and help new and current team members meet the essential functions of their role and also meet personal and practice objectives
- Serves as a resource by guiding new and current team members to appropriate educational materials and training
- Participates in the hiring of new team members
- Assists with on-call coverage as needed
- Assists with oversite of clinical orientation and ongoing education while assessing the educational needs of the team members
- Collaborates with Cath Lab Medical Director and Manager to develop and improve quality standards for the Cardiac Cath Labs and Hybrid OR procedures
- Reviews and revises Cath Lab Tier program criteria and case selections with Cath Lab Medical Director and Cath Lab Manager
- Provide valuable, formative and summative feedback from training and mentoring to the Cath Lab Medical Director and Cath Lab Manager
- Analyzes needs and requirements for capital equipment and assists in preparation of justification and recommendations
- Assist with clinical competencies and remedial training of team members as needed
- Serves as a resource for Medical Staff and Cath Lab Staff for all new programs, devices and procedures.
- Serves as a liaison with the Medical Staff.
- Evaluates effectiveness of unit based clinical programs related to delivery of care and clinical practice.
- Assist in preparation for TJC, IDPH, IPT and other regulatory agency surveys.
- Monitors and responds to patient/family/physician expectations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Radiology
Licenses and Certification
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse Professional License or ARRT
- BLS
- RCIS and/or RCES
Experience and Skills
- Technical Experience: 4 years clinical in related field of license.
- Supervisory Experience: 2 years
