Role Description

Direct, manage and coordinate all kitchen logistics, transportation and driving schedules, inventory, event fulfillment and other operational functions. Responsible for inventory management and of paper, chemicals and soft beverages. The goal of this position is to manage the entire operations/logistics cycle, to enhance business profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Storage & Inventory
  • Weekly inventory of paper storage areas
  • Submit monthly inventory to Director of Operations
  • Maintain paper goods room
  • Beverage Inventory Monthly
  • Place orders for Coffee, Soft Beverages as needed
  • Maintain inventory lists
  • Maintain smallwares room
  • Quarterly inventory of small wares
  • Driver Schedule
  • Event Logistics
  • Expedite food coming out of kitchen
  • Insure all items on BEO are accounted for
  • Wrap all items to insure they will not spill in coolers or hot boxes
  • Store all items in either cold coolers or portable hot boxes
  • Coolers to contain ice packs to keep food cold
  • Assist Drivers loading vans for delivery when needed
  • Pack Boxes
  • Prepare pack boxes according to pack sheet
  • Assist in Preparation coffee & cold beverages as needed from BEO
  • Attend Weekly BEO meetings
  • BEO board management
  • Updates to BEO’s for Operations & Kitchen use
  • Print pack lists for drivers
  • Print labels, signs & tent cards for internal & external client needs
  • Communicate changes with Operations & Culinary teams
  • Routine Maintenance of Delivery Vans (scheduling of oil changes, tire rotations, routine maintenance)
  • Occasional Food Pick ups/Deliveries
  • Meet with Vendors (paper, trash, repair company, pest control, compost, recycling & oil recycling) to insure needs are being met

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations management, preferably in the event planning or hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Event work available
  • Computer knowledge
  • Excellent Driving Record
  • Must be able to lift 50# or more

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
