Form of workChevron is accepting online applications for the Category Specialist, Facilities Engineering position through April 25th at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time). The Category specialist supports their Category Manager in all aspects of the management of the category.
The position is intended to be a shadow to the Category Manager and to help support the work, as follows: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Development of Category Plans Contract Negotiations and Maintenance Sourcing Events Supplier Issue Resolution Transactional Execution (Creating and Maintaining Orders) Supplier Relationship Management Execution of System/Process Improvements (Data Cleansing, Implementation of Process Improvements) Leadership on assigned projects as individual capability allows (Sourcing, Process Improvement, etc.) Required Qualifications: Understanding of Supply Chain Management core functions including Category Management, Contracting, and Business Analytics and PSCM Systems. Comprehension of contracts risks, bidding, and contract preparation. Motivated to initiate projects / conversations and new ideas in problem solving.
Proven ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Proactive executing assigned work plans to deliver on project and SCM objectives. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SMART and SAP.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,400 - $158,500.
