PerkSpot is searching for a Category Manager, Tickets and Attractions to join our Product & Growth team! Founded in 2006, we are on a Mission to Save Our Members Money by providing exclusive access to the best discounts available - anywhere. We ensure employees see offers curated to their interests, allowing them to save on electronics, home goods, meal delivery, mortgages, travel, and all the other little—and big—things that will make life a bit easier.
The Category Manager, Tickets and Attractions is responsible for the growth and optimization of PerkSpot’s Tickets and Attractions business by owning the revenue and engagement performance of a set of ticket partner accounts and prospects. You will manage all aspects of their segment of the Tickets business, including business development, account management, marketing, technical prioritization, operations, and analysis.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Own a set of ticket merchant accounts, including account and relationship management.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with assigned accounts.
- Manage contract process, product line access, advertising revenue, and rate negotiation, in collaboration with the Sr. Category Manager and Director.
- Identify prospective new partners for PerkSpot’s onsite tickets portfolio, focused on geographic strength, marketing suitability, and attraction type. Adding new partners with either organic name recognition or ad sale opportunities to the PerkSpot platform.
- Execute pricing strategy including loading products and setting pricing for onsite products, conducting pricing analysis, and competitive shopping to ensure our pricing strategy is maximizing revenue and engagement. Ensure timely and accurate rate updates and address operational and customer support issues as required.
- Analyze product and merchant performance and contribute to team-level forecasting and budgeting for assigned accounts.
- Partner with internal teams and merchant partners to build and execute marketing strategies and tactics to maximize exposure and engagement within assigned accounts.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams on the requirements, prioritization, and functional validation of onsite tickets front and back-end functionality.
What we’re looking for:
- 2-5 years of experience, ideally in a business development and account management role
- Experience in product development
- Experience with revenue or rate management is a plus
- Experience related to selling tickets is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage internal stakeholders and external business partners
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus but not required
