- Provide analytical support and business insights to the SVP of Insights and Analytics as well as the broader Category Management team.
- Providing Category Reporting & Analysis to support the Sr. Category Advisor.
- Design and maintain an efficient weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting strategy and infrastructure to meet customer requirements.
- Use data & information systems to monitor retail sales, market share, and metrics important to the customer to drive to targets and ensure health of the business.
- Discover ways to drive efficiencies in modular design process.
- Playing a key role in the team deliverable of drawing a high volume of mods that deliver superior results at the shelf.
- Provide store survey and project work through Quickbase/GMR (Walmart Application).
- Producing and delivering Ad Hoc customer merchant requests.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience supporting the Category Management function
- Demonstrated experience drawing a significant # of modulars is strongly preferred.
- Experience pulling and utilizing syndicated data such as Nielson IQ, Numerator, IRI, Luminate, etc.
- Willingness to work with data integration platforms which will require diversity in thought, creative report building, and data structure for long term ease of use.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, including the ability to develop dashboards from scratch.
- Proven experience analyzing complex issues and/or requests to provide effective solutions with the ability to identify root cause, communicate options and propose solutions.
- Experience in the CPG industry and knowledge of Walmart/Sams consumables and private brands.
- Experience with Modular Automation strongly preferred.
- JDA Space Planning experience strongly preferred.
- Category Management Association Certified Professional Category Analyst certification a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where multiple duties are performed to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint including experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing large amounts of data from syndicated sources and building and communicating a story from it.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
