Catch A Glimpse Of Mount Rushmore- Hospital Seeking General Surgery

A hospital in South Dakota is seeking a General Surgery Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.

Assignment:

Dates: 3pm June 27 - 6pm June 30 / 12 pm July 10 - 8pm July 14 / 6 pm Aug 7 - 6 pm Aug 11 / 3 pm Aug 28 - 8 am Sept 2

(potential for sporadic weekend call coverage in the future, but on an as-needed basis

Setting: Inpatient

Call: 24/7 call - coverage mainly for C-sections (maybe an ER or Trauma call, but volume is low). 20 min response time

Patient Ages: all ages but mostly adults because the need is for C-sections

C-section preferred, pending if able to have a provider onsite who can cover c-sections, the client can schedule the locum for the general surgeon with no c-section responsibilities.

Cases: bread and butter General Surgery - the locum's provider is mostly there to cover C-sections. Could have an emergency call but low volume of trauma cases a year

Support Staff: CRNAs and full surgery team available 24/7

EMR/Charting: Epic

Requirements:

Boards: Board Certified; Board Eligible

Certifications: ACLS; ATLS; BLS
