Cataract/Retina Surgery Scrub Technician/RN

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Scrub Tech with cataract experience to join our healthcare team at Retina Surgery Center. As a Scrub Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during ophthalmology procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team will contribute to the successful outcome of each procedure.

Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use
- Assist surgeons and nurses in scrubbing, gowning, and gloving
- Pass instruments, sutures, and other supplies to the surgical team during procedures
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery by monitoring and adjusting equipment as needed
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by staying one step ahead during procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and draping
- Handle specimens with care and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Clean and restock operating rooms after each procedure

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Scrub Tech program
- Current certification as a Scrub Tech (CST) (preferred)
- MUST have experience with outpatient cataract procedures
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
