Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this individual is to develop, manage, and continually improve data systems, standards, and teams relative to our growing business. This would include the collection, configuration, and control of accurate automotive aftermarket content and data, which supports customer and business goals. The data will be obtained from multiple sources including vehicle registration databases, internal company systems, external sources, and spreadsheets from various locations. Assists marketing, product development & catalog departments with analysis & data configuration projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data management strategies and management systems.
  • Identify key areas of data development, integration, and continuous improvements.
  • Acquire, develop, and maintain product data for current product lines to e-commerce sites and customers.
  • Develop and refine sources for electronic product information data for Automotive Aftermarket product lines and categories including product images, training videos, and mobile applications.
  • Research features and attributes of vehicles in the aftermarket.
  • Maintain the Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard (ACES)
  • Maintain Product Information Exchange Standard (PIES) Data, including product attributes, features, benefits, and lifecycle.
  • Maintain and distribute digital assets: images, technical and marketing bulletins, warranty, instruction, installation documents, and MSDs documents.
  • Source, validate and update vehicle in operation (VIO) data.
  • Calculate market coverage and identify application gaps.
  • Gather, validate, and maintain product application information from internal and external sources.
  • Develop and refine system capable of cross-referencing the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Original Equipment Supplier (OES), Independent Aftermarket Manufacturer (IAM), and Competitor part numbers.
  • Maintain and enhance information contained in interchange databases to determine where data must be developed or needs additional review.
  • Assist with customer inquiries concerning product and PIES information in a timely manner.
  • Create and manage existing e-Catalog product content with a focus on automotive product fitment i.e., year, make, model and product attribute data.
  • Analyze reported listing discrepancies provided by users or systems. Take appropriate action by implementing modifications to existing content or add new content to address reported discrepancies.
  • Develop and enhance Value Add content. Value Add content includes digital assets, marketing copy, features and benefits, attribute specifications, cross references, product relationships, cross sell content and keyword search alias content.
  • Maintain and enhance e-commerce and web site information and data.
  • Identify and manage product data deficiency and identify gaps in content coverage as well as recommend improvements to corporate website.
  • Perform on-going analysis of product data to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and completeness.
  • Support field sales in preparing market and customer focused deliverables in electronic formats.
  • Participate in annual line reviews for bearings and wheel hub and any other CW Bearings categories.
  • Work with cross functional associates to manage projects and launch aftermarket strategic initiatives.

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • ACES and PIES working knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft systems Excel, Word, Power Point, Access required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Strong ability to organize, communicate and present ideas.
  • Working knowledge of multiple automotive aftermarket information systems
  • Understanding of online marketing channels preferred.

Education & Experience:
  • A four-year bachelor’s degree in business or an equivalent work experience with an automotive aftermarket company
  • Automotive aftermarket knowledge with data and product experience required.
  • Must have Automotive catalog database experience.
  • Must have E-commerce or website development experience.
  • Product management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Environmental Requirements
Our manufacturing facility is a climate-controlled environment. There is no long-term exposure to dangerously loud noise or extreme temperatures.

Cognitive abilities include executing tasks independently; learning and/or memorizing tasks; maintaining concentration/focus on tasks; working with/in close proximity to, other people.
Attendance Requirements
All hourly team members are expected to report to work and be ready to work at their scheduled start time. It is required that they adhere to and follow the attendance policy(ies).
All salaried team members are expected to perform their duties/responsibilities in a timely manner. Although they may not have set schedules, they are expected to either be at work on a schedule agreed upon by their manager or be available via phone/text/Teams if working remotely (Remote work does not apply to CWM positions).
