Responsibilities:
- Lead the casting department, overseeing all aspects of the casting process and managing a team of casting associates and assistants.
- Recruit, train, and mentor casting directors to ensure the department has the necessary expertise and resources to meet the casting needs of each project.
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to understand the vision and casting needs for each project.
- Conduct thorough talent searches to identify actors who align with the project's character breakdowns and requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct auditions, both in-person and virtually, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all involved.
- Provide guidance and support to casting directors and associates throughout the audition process, including script interpretation and performance direction.
- Build and maintain relationships with talent agencies, acting schools, and other industry contacts to expand our network of potential talent.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the logistical aspects of casting, including scheduling and coordinating callbacks.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and other key stakeholders to make final casting decisions that align with the creative vision and budgetary constraints.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging talent, and casting best practices to continuously improve our casting processes and outcomes.
- Handle any casting-related issues or conflicts with professionalism and diplomacy, always prioritizing the needs of the project and maintaining positive relationships with talent and stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between the talent and production teams, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of expectations throughout the casting and production process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Casting Producer or similar role in the film or television industry.
- Deep knowledge of the casting process, including talent sourcing, auditioning, and
- contract negotiation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with actors, agents, and industry contacts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and perspectives.
- Proficiency in industry-standard casting software and tools, as well as familiarity with relevant databases and resources.
- A passion for storytelling and a commitment to supporting diverse and inclusive casting practices.
- Master's degree in Film, Theater, Communication, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working on TV shows or web series is a plus
